Meet Our Partners:
- Benshangul Development Association (BDA): BDA is dedicated to community-based integrated development programs across Assosa's disadvantaged communities. Their initiatives focus on WASH, education, and griculture/livelihood, supported by comprehensive assessments in 7 woredas of the Assosa zone.
- Afar Development Association (AFDA): AFDA, established in July 2011, aims to provide integrated development services to Afar pastoralist communities. Their efforts span health, education, water sanitation, and sustainable pastoral and agro-pastoral production systems across 5 zones and 32 woredas in Afar.
- Tikuret Le Gumuz Hizb Lemat Mahiber (TLGHLM): TLGHLM, a local NGO since November 2001, focuses on the economic and social advancement of the Gumuz people. Their programs include capacity-building, food production, poverty alleviation, environmental conservation, and eradication of harmful traditional practices in the Benishangul Gumuz Regional State.
- Ethiopian Nuer Development Association (ENDA): ENDA, re-established in 2012, supports regional efforts in poverty alleviation and development in Gambella. Their initiatives include education, health services, local entrepreneurship, women's empowerment, policy advocacy, and community-level peace building.
- Harari Abadir Development Association (HADA): HADA, founded in 2009, focuses on improving socio-economic conditions in Harari through community and regional development initiatives. They are registered under the Harari People's Regional State Bureau of Justice and Security Affairs.
- Samara University (SU): SU, operational since 2007, offers educational programs in Education, Business and Economics, and Dryland Agriculture, with plans for expansion into Health and Technology. They emphasize research, community engagement, and cultural dialogue through centers like the Center for Dialogue between Cultures and Rights (CDCR).
- Assosa University (AU): AU, established in 2011, is committed to advancing education, research, and community service in Benishangul Gumuz. It offers programs in Engineering, Natural Sciences, Agriculture, Business, and Social Sciences, including evening and weekend sessions to cater to diverse student needs.
- Samara Health Science College (SHSC): SHSC, the sole health science college in Afar Regional State, has been training healthcare professionals since 1998. They offer programs in Clinical Nursing, Midwifery, and Health Information Technicians (HIT) to meet regional healthcare needs.
- Partners for Rural Improvement and Development in Ethiopia (PRIDE): PRIDE, founded in Boulder, Colorado, focuses on sustainable development in rural Ethiopian highlands. Their initiatives in education, clean water, and agriculture aim to break cycles of poverty and enhance quality of life.
- Anywaa Community Development Association (ACDA): ACDA, re-organized in 2014, supports the Anywaa and Gambella communities through health and education services, local income generation, women empowerment, and conflict resolution programs.
